Job Opportunities for Graduates of Bachelor’s Degrees in Economics

Many jobs, including a bank manager or accountant, are available for Economics bachelor’s degree graduates. Finance and business are two of many industries that offer jobs to economics majors. Salaries and careers depend on whether the Economics bachelor’s degree is a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) or Bachelor of Science (B.S.).

Job Opportunities for Economics Bachelor’s Degree Graduates

Graduates of a bachelor’s degree in Economics can choose from numerous job opportunities available to them; these include credit analyst, financial controller, management consultant, and business analyst. They can also opt for entry-level economist positions offered by the federal government (U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics).

Most economics majors gain occupation in business or finance; however, sectors such as international relations, nonprofit, law, academia, medicine, and government, among others, may also offer job opportunities to graduates.

Bachelor’s Degree Programs in Economics

Schools offer both a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Economics for those interested in the field. Students of both these majors are taught about economic systems, models and theories, and the factors that influence selling and buying. Quantitative analysis and mathematics is emphasized in the BS program, while foreign language requirements and liberal arts courses are integrated in the BA program.
