Harvard Business School
Harvard University is located in Massachusetts, which ranks among the country’s most highly regarded universities. The U.S. News and World Report gave Harvard’s business school the top rank on its 2010 list of best business schools in the country. A doctoral program, Executive Education, and M.B.A. are available through the school.
The M.B.A. program at Harvard Business School combines core business classes and electives, including green business, entrepreneurship, globalization, and organization design. Joint degree programs are also available in collaboration with other Harvard Schools, including the Harvard Kennedy School, the Harvard Law School, and the Harvard Medical School.
Through the Executive Education program, future leaders for the world of business are trained in various levels, including mid, board, and executive levels. Core coursework includes topic areas such as operations management, negotiations, corporate management, finance, and ownership.
Nine Doctor of Business Administration (D.B.A.) and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) programs are available in various fields, such as organizational, technology operations, and marketing management. While the vast research sources of Harvard Business School can be availed by students, they are also given access to Harvard’s and MIT’s vast facilities.

Stanford Graduate School of Business
Stanford University is located in California, which the U.S. News and World Report ranked second on its 2010 list of best business schools in the country. The business school at the university offers Executive Education, Ph.D., and M.B.A. programs, which are augmented by the accelerated Stanford Sloan Master’s Program that students can earn in less than 12 months. The focus of the school’s philosophy is on the four key business aspects of social innovation, global awareness, entrepreneurship, and leadership.
Stanford’s two-year M.B.A. program features coursework tailored to the individual. Besides traditional classroom study, students will also participate in learning experiences such as internships, study trips, and the simulation of real-life business situations.
Applicants to the Stanford Sloan Master’s Program must possess a degree and at least eight years of business experience. The program features 11 core courses and four elective courses in fields such as entrepreneurship, leadership, and public management.
The executive program allows students to concentrate on fields such as technology, negotiation, marketing, and social innovation. The school places students in their concentration area by assessing their competency and career stage levels.
The school’s Ph.D. program trains students to work in the business academia and research fields. Concentrations include political economics, operations and technology, economic analysis, and marketing.
