Coursework in a master’s degree program in finance may be a combination of economics, business, mathematical practices and theories, and statistics. Top-rated programs are available at both Princeton University, and the University of California – Berkeley (commonly referred to as Berkeley), which are on either coast of the United States. Publications such as Advanced Trading and U.S. News & World Report accord high rankings to these schools.

Princeton University in Princeton, NJ

The U.S. News & World Report featured Princeton University at the top of its 2014 list of the best national universities in the United States. A Master of Finance (M.Fin.) degree is available at the university through a multidisciplinary research center. The research center is the Bendheim Center for Finance, which has ties to the university’s Department of Computer Science, Department of Economics, and Department of Operations Research and Financial Engineering.
