Schools Offering Hospitality Management Programs

The best schools that offer Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) programs with a specialization in hospitality management include the George Washington University (GWU) and the University of North Texas (UNT). In 2010, GWU featured among the 100 top-ranking national universities. While the University of North Texas does not feature among ranked schools, it is renowned for its broad program in hospitality management.

George Washington University in Washington, DC

The U.S. News & World Report ranked George Washington University 55th on its 2010 list of top business schools in the United States. The full-time MBA program is available through the School of Business whose focus extends to hospitality, tourism, and event and sports management. Students enrolled in the program have to complete 57 credit hours, including 12 hours of electives in hospitality and tourism management during year two. Coursework in this area is devised to provide knowledge on sports law, event operations, tourism marketing, and hotel management.

University of North Texas in Denton

A joint MBA and Master of Science (M.S.) in Hospitality Management can be completed by enrollees at the University of North Texas. Those interested in completing the joint program have to enter a partnership through the College of Business with the School of Merchandising and Hospitality Management. The program features courses in both on-campus and online formats. Business concentrations, such as decision sciences, accounting, or electronic business, complement hospitality management and English courses. Many related graduate offerings are also available at UNT, including MS programs in Hospitality Management, Merchandising, and International Sustainable Tourism.
