Aspiring students will benefit from previous exposure to disciplines such as writing, critical reading, and mathematics.

Information on Continuing Education

Graduates who plan to pursue advanced business and financial careers, such as executive-level banking or stock broking, should consider pursuing a bachelor degree program in financing or a related field. Students may transfer credits earned from an associate degree program to the bachelor degree program where they can earn their Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree. Depending on the career options, individuals may want to pursue a Master of Business Administration (MBA) program; the program usually allows students to pursue finance concentration options.

In order to adhere to federal regulations or improve professional status, graduates who want to enter advanced careers should consider licensing and certification. The Certified Financial Board of Standards provides certification to personal financial planners. Investment brokers and advisers will need to register with the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority.
