Associate of Arts (A.A.) Degree Programs in Advertising Design

Students enrolled in an associate’s degree program in Advertising Design can expect to become adept at planning, creating and analyzing visual resolutions to challenges faced in the advertising field. The program facilitates the exploration of modes of expressing themselves through the use of various mediums, such as animation, typography, photography and illustration. They are imparted the skills necessary for designing media in an array of products, like magazines, logos, websites and book covers.

Those who successfully complete the program can seek entry-level jobs or pursue continued education by earning bachelor’s degrees in Design, or Art. Studies in illustration or graphic design may augment these programs that usually grant Associate of Art (A.A.), Associate of Science (A.S.) or Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) degrees. Admission criteria typically require applicants to hold a GED certificate or high school diploma.
