B.S. Programs in Entrepreneurship

Students enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in Entrepreneurship can expect to hone skills that they can use in developing an existing business or starting a new one. They are generally taught about finance, marketing and accounting, in addition to exploring ways of stimulating economic development in their chosen area of business. They become adept at putting together business plans and hone skills in business administration, communication, and business management. The programs are devised to assist students with acting on their original ideas and in making effective business decisions. Schools often require students to participate in internship programs, whereby they can gain real-world experience.

Admission criteria typically require incoming students to hold a GED certificate or high school diploma.

Coursework

It usually takes four years to run through 120 semester hours of coursework and complete degree programs in this field. General education courses are required to be completed before most schools will allow students to begin core coursework. Coursework could include topic areas such as social science, math, history, science and English.

Students enrolled in the program can complete coursework devised to help students analyze business prospects accurately. The program also entails participation by students in projects that mirror the way their own businesses will operate. Coursework may include topic areas such as:

Continuing Education Choices
