Bachelor of Science (B.S.) Degree Programs in Medical Technology

Students enrolled in Bachelor of Science (B.S.) programs in Medical Technology are offered curricula with practical and theoretical work. The practical work is done in a medical lab, wherein skills for performing lab tests are developed.

The clinical portion of the coursework may be devised to impart hands-on experience in hospital laboratories on the watch of medical technicians and physicians. Students generally complete these programs in four years, which includes three initial years of coursework and a final year of clinical experience.

The Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Medical Technology program must carry accreditation by the American Medical Association Council on Health Education and the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS).
