Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) Programs in Digital Media

Few schools, if any, offer Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degrees with a specialization in digital media management or digital media. However, students may complete coursework in digital media as part of the general MBA curriculum, or as part of a digital marketing concentration within the MBA degree program.

Apart from an undergraduate degree, incoming students may also have to satisfy coursework and testing requirements. After they have enrolled, applicants may be given the opportunity to complete a digital portfolio and an internship, in addition to a thesis.

Education Requirements

Admission criteria typically require incoming students to have an undergraduate degree as well as knowledge of business processes and business terminology. They are also commonly required to know about finance, accounting, and statistics. In some business schools, students are expected to pass a Graduate Record Exams (GRE) or Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) before they can get admitted to an MBA program.

Coursework

Students enrolled in MBA in Digital Marketing degree programs are taught media and business communication using new media techniques, apart from computer technology. Coursework also involves discussion of social media management, digital media law, brand development, digital marketing, and trends in digital media.
