Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (B.S.B.A.) Degree Programs

Students enrolled in a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (B.S.B.A.) program have multiple options in areas of concentration, such as human resource management, economics, finance, marketing, management and accounting. Students are imparted knowledge about business-related topics and the basics of business communication that would help them perform job roles in virtually any position in a company. Concepts in operations management, decision-making, and problem-solving are explored by students.

Admission criteria typically require incoming students to hold a GED certificate or high school diploma.

Job and Wage Outlook

A job growth of 12% has been predicted for sales managers over the 2010-2020 decade, while the growth rates for marketing managers and advertising managers were expected to be 14% and 13%, respectively. In May 2012, the middle half of sales managers took home an average annual wage ranging between $72,210 and $150,610; while the corresponding earnings for the middle half of advertising managers ranged between $60,820 and $135,930 (U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics).

Continuing Education Choices

Graduates of the bachelor’s program can pursue continued education by earning a Master of Business Administration (MBA). Coursework in these 2-year degree programs is devised to facilitate specialization to students in global management, finance, and supply chain management. Schools offer the programs in online, part-time and full-time study formats, each with a different time frame for completion. Regardless, the cohort style is preferred by students, whereby the beginning and end of the program by a group of students is coincident.
