Master of Science (M.S.) Programs in Information Systems Management

Working information technology (IT) professionals may enroll in a Master of Science (M.S.) degree program in Information Systems Management to gain the knowledge and skills necessary for management positions. Program coursework underscores both new technologies and business practices, whereby graduates gain the skills needed in overseeing IT employees and implementing computer-related upgrades within an organization. Concentrations in specialty areas, such as health informatics, project management, and information systems development, are offered in many of these MS degree programs. Education Requirements

Admission criteria typically require incoming students to hold a bachelor’s degree in a closely-related field of study; applicants are also required to submit a transcript of postsecondary education. Their best paying employers were securities and commodity exchanges while the highest number of these professionals found employment with computer systems design services companies.
