The focus of the global enterprise track of the Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) program is primarily on the international marketplace as germane to economics, management, law, and ethics. Students learn about the corporate resources, organizational behavior, manufacturing processes and culture of international businesses.


Coursework may also include international trade law, global economy, foreign economies, financial markets, foreign languages, global eBusiness, and policy issues. Hands-on Experience

During spring break vacations, summertime, and even during a normal semester, study-abroad opportunities are offered by many global enterprise management programs. Travel by students is often encouraged to established markets, such as those of Europe, as well as to emerging markets, such as the ones in China, India, and the Middle East. Such travel can teach students about the political, historical, and economic basis of the countries visited. Allied colleges or international campuses may be open to students in colleges offering this degree.

Job responsibilities and wage levels vary according to industry, and the range can include positions in marketing, finance, and everything in between. Individuals may choose from various job titles, including marketing director, chief financial officer, financial analyst, or chief operating officer.

The rise of international trade, the Internet, and the interactive character of the various stock markets of the world have combined to ensure that many large corporations are now global. With more companies going global, there will be a great demand for experts with an understanding of international markets and the way these markets impact the finances and competition of their company. In March 2014, holders of an MBA in International Business brought in an average annual wage ranging from $33,000 – $146,000 (10th to 90th percentile). During the same period, the respective average annual wage ranges for marketing managers were $40,976 – $116,129, and international sales managers were $40,134 – $119,349.
