Associate of Business Science (A.B.S.) Degree in Tourism and Travel

While there are no Associate of Business Science Tourism and Travel degree programs offered by any colleges or universities, interested students may enroll in an Associate of Science (A.S.) in Tourism and Hospitality degree program. Upon completion of this degree program, students will be prepared to seek a career in the hospitality industry.

A.S. Degree in Hospitality and Tourism

Associate degree programs in tourism and hospitality usually focus on developing a wide range of hospitality and business skills, including customer service, office organization, and business writing. Skills relevant to the tourism and travel industry will also be learned through both hands-on experiences and classroom. Most colleges and universities provide options where students can participate in an internship program in the hospitality industry. Once students have graduated from the program, they will be able to apply and interpret laws specific to the hospitality and tourism industry and demonstrate comprehensive management skills.

Continuing Education Information

Program graduates seeking continued education may enroll in a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management degree program where they will gain in-depth knowledge on various hospitality subject areas including technology and managerial level accounting needed for a career in the hospitality industry. They will receive adequate preparation in order to occupy middle to upper management positions in the hospitality, tourism and travel industries.
