International business associate degree programs offer foundational studies in business practices and knowledge along with information on industry standards worldwide. Students will gain an understanding on business complications, global corporate approaches, and national environmental differences, including those in culture, politics, demographics, and economics. Associate degree programs will offer students opportunities to obtain skills in spoken, written, and leadership communication, technology, and analysis. Most programs will require students to learn a second language. Certification and Continuing Education Information
International business associate degree program graduates will be eligible to take the examination administered by the National Association of Small Business International Trade Educators (NASBITE – www.nasbite.org) to become a Certified Global Business Professional (CGBP). The certification validates a level of professionalism in a person’s competence and abilities in trade finance, global marketing, supply chain management, and global business management.
Associate degree program graduates will have the option of pursuing a bachelor degree program in international business administration, international affairs, or other related fields. Bachelor degree programs in this field offer studies in trade, economics, human rights, politics, and global environment.
