Best and Most Comfortable Scrubs for Nurses

Career News March 19, 2013

When you first decide to become a nurse there are some benefits that you do not even think about. Isn’t it nice that a nurse can wear scrubs to work every day? This type of clothing is extremely comfortable and giving you room to move about, which is what you need when you are on the job. Like all clothing, some brands are better than others in scrubs and provide more comfort. Some are made of better quality, so it last longer. There are five leading brands that stand out when it comes to getting value for your money when you buy scrubs. All of these are available online, so you are able to shop from home at your convenience and have the order shipped right to your door.

Grey’s Anatomy

Yes, this is a popular television show, but it is also an extremely popular brand of scrubs. For female nurses, it is annoying to wear unflattering, boxy scrubs every day. Just because you are a nurse does not mean you should not show off your feminine side. There is a variety of styles to choose from that show off your figure. Select from many different printed designs or solid colors. You can also mix and match. Some nurses say that this brand helps them look slim and this is certainly a plus. The material is soft as well as being wrinkle resistant. In addition to having designs for female nurses, a men’s line is also available.

IguanaMed

This brand name is new to the market, but the scrubs are quickly gaining the reputation of being high quality. IguanaMed scrubs are made from material that is breathable – blends of cotton that lets air through, so you can remain cool all day long. The designs came from experts in the fashion world, which makes them exceptionally stylish and attractive. Practical is a term that is associated with this brand of scrubs too. There are multiple pockets both inside and out with enclosures containing Velcro tabs. There are special slots for pens and pencils, so you won’t keep misplacing them.

Koi

If you are the type of person who wears designer clothing, Koi scrubs will be the brand for you. Koi scrubs feature several unique styles in the industry, as well as a wide variety of colors and prints. Also, it can be washed multiple times without fading, which makes it durable. The Lindsey style is the most popular style of pants; they are known for easily adjustable hemline, meaning that you will be able to preserve the pants much longer by preventing them from dragging on the ground. There are plenty of pockets in the Koi scrubs, including a special pocket made for holding scissors.

Tafford

Tafford scrubs are always popular with nurses because of the quality and affordable pricing. Their styles are similar to expensive brands, but cost a lot less. Prints come in many unique designs to suit your personality and to bring out your best features. They will hold their colors after repeated washes. You should note that this brand does run a little large, so you might want to order a size smaller than you usually do.

Butter-Soft

Uniform Advantage is the only company that sells Butter-Soft scrubs. The fabric is extremely soft and makes for a comfortable fit. After all, they are called Butter-soft for a reason. It comes in various styles that are made to accentuate curves instead of hiding them. Some of the styles are offered in over forty colors, so you do not have an issue switching it up on a regular basis. Even though Butter-soft is exclusive to Uniform Advantage, it is still remarkably affordable.

Nurses work long hours and carry out many different tasks over the course of a shift. They need to be comfortable at all times. The five brand names listed here will provide you with the comfortable clothing you need to let you concentrate on the comfort of the patient. By investing in quality scrubs, you will save money because they are durable. Remember, just because your career concentrates on helping others does not mean that you do not deserve to feel good about what you are wearing.
