Higher Education Articles February 25, 2013

Students are introduced to advanced theories and pedagogical techniques for teaching literature and writing through accredited online master programs in English education. Web-based communication tools and online course management systems are used by these programs.

Program Overview: Online Master in English Education

Similar to campus-based programs, university faculty develops and lead distance education programs in English education. They include courses where students can garner the skills to teach reading, grammar, literature and writing. Cultural, social and psychological perspectives of education are also explored by students. Typically, the materials for online English educational master programs are delivered both asynchronously and synchronously and could include the use of video conferencing and multimedia applications. Thus, students in master programs usually need to meet hardware and software standards to utilize the necessary web-based communication tools and course management technology.
