CPI Certification: How Crisis Prevention Training is Done

Completion of a seminar running over three or four days duration and passing the program assessment will help students become instructors, armed with CPI certification. Not only will the participants in these Instructor Certification Programs learn how to respond to crisis situations, but how to teach their peers. Students can utilize such trainer certification in the fields of prepare training as well as nonviolent crisis prevention. The state counseling, education and nursing boards will award continuing education credits to students who complete these training programs. Maintaining their credentials will require certified instructors to attend a renewal course once every four years.
