Degree Overview: Associate of Arts (A.A.) Degree in Security Management

Those interested in private security and public safety may want to earn an Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree in security management. Postsecondary education is usually required for gaming surveillance officers. Students will be trained to make difficult decisions and evaluate dangerous situations. Candidates may have to take special classes and pass weapons safety examinations before they are awarded licenses or certificates to facilitate the use of weaponry.
