A.A.S. in Network System Security Degree Program

Students enrolled in an A.A.S. in Network System Security degree program will be prepared to seek careers that involve deterring and preventing cybercrime that most governmental agencies and companies are afflicted by. Students can become adept at identifying and preventing privacy invasion, hacking and data theft. Two-year associate degree programs are offered at some schools in the network security field, and students are awarded similar degree titles; these include an Associate of Applied Science in Computer Networking & Information Systems Security or Associate of Applied Science in Information Network Security.

Students will learn how to maintain and monitor the computer network system daily operations. Admission criteria typically require applicants to hold a general educational development (GED) certificate or a high school diploma.
