Legal Secretaries International, Inc. and the National Association of Legal Secretaries (NALS) offer certifications aimed specifically at individuals employed in legal offices (source: U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS)). The Accredited Legal Secretary designation is offered by the NALS, while the Certified Legal Secretary Specialist designation is offered by Legal Secretaries International. Testing is a mandatory requirement in both organizations to be satisfied by those seeking the designations.
