Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) Degree Programs in Game Design

Students enrolled in a Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) in Game Design program are taught coursework that covers subject areas ranging from game design levels to software and hardware. Students that successfully complete a game design bachelor’s degree program can expect to have a sound understanding of artistic techniques and industry-level skills while learning how to texture, unwrap, and animate 3-D models. Also taught are scripting, audio production, and game level design.

Coursework

The focus of coursework in a bachelor’s degree program in game design centers on various computer-specific subject areas related to animation and 3-D technology. Students enrolled in many programs are allowed to build a portfolio over the duration of their program and rehearse the presentation of their work to potential employers.
