These technicians are likely to see their industry grow at a rate of 30% while the job growth rate for technologists is expected to grow at a rate of 14% up to the year 2022. The median salaries for these two types of workers are quite different with the former earning an average of $43,240 while the latter earns a higher amount totaling to $57,580.

Biological technician

A biological technician works alongside biological and medical scientists and helps them with carrying out different tests and experiments in the laboratories. If you get employed in this field, the BLS estimates that you would earn an annual figure of $39,750 while the job growth rate in this field will average at 10% per year over the next seven years (2015-2022).
