Stark State College of Technology – North Canton, Ohio
This is the sixth-largest two-year public institution within the University System of Ohio. Associate degrees and certificates are offered at the school in more than two hundred academic programs. Kent State University – Kent, Ohio

University of Akron – Akron, Ohio
Founded in 1870, when it was known as Buchtel College, the school earned its current status of a public institution in 1913. The college offers more than three hundred doctorate, master, bachelor and associate degrees, as well as certificates. More than ten colleges are housed at the University of Akron, which is favored by students seeking opportunities for continuing education and adult and distance learning. In 2008, the school was ranked by Princeton Review among the best schools in the Midwest.
