Stark State College of Technology – North Canton, Ohio

This is the sixth-largest two-year public institution within the University System of Ohio. Associate degrees and certificates are offered at the school in more than two hundred academic programs. Apart from technology-based programs, courses in business studies and liberal arts are offered at Stark State College who has entered into an agreement with several universities to allow students at Stark to transfer credits for continuation to a bachelor degree program.

Kent State University – Kent, Ohio

Eight campuses spread across Northeast Ohio comprise what is among the largest regional systems in the United States. More than 281 programs are offered at the Kent State University leading to doctorate, master, bachelor and associate degrees. University of Akron – Akron, Ohio

Founded in 1870, when it was known as Buchtel College, the school earned its current status of a public institution in 1913. The college offers more than three hundred doctorate, master, bachelor and associate degrees, as well as certificates. More than ten colleges are housed at the University of Akron, which is favored by students seeking opportunities for continuing education and adult and distance learning. In 2008, the school was ranked by Princeton Review among the best schools in the Midwest.
