A.S. Programs in Interdisciplinary Studies

Students enrolled in Associate’s degree programs in interdisciplinary studies are allowed to tailor personalized education plans. A solid liberal studies education is typically offered to students in coursework that may include topic areas such as cognitive operation, communication, diversity, and global matters. Students can particularly benefit from interdisciplinary studies programs if they are interested in topic areas that cannot be categorized among predetermined majors. They can choose from various electives or concentrate on a specific concentration area of interest. Admission criteria typically require no more than a GED certificate or high school diploma from applicants.

Coursework

About 60-64 semester hours are often required in degree programs in this field and that usually take about two years to complete. Continuing Education Choices

Those interested in continuing education could choose to enroll in bachelor’s degree programs in interdisciplinary studies. Some schools offering associate’s programs in this field allow students to transfer credits to four-year programs.
