The Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree program in Business, with a concentration in retail management, can help those seeking to manage an established retail business or open their own retail store. Students will be taught techniques to lead a retail business efficiently and maximize sales.

Bachelor of Science (B.S.) Degree Programs in Business Administration

Students enrolled in Business BS programs with retail management concentrations are helped to develop interpersonal communication skills and taught to write and speak professionally. They are trained in the application of business techniques and theories of the financial, accounting and marketing aspects in a retail setting. Management applicants are expected to possess bachelor’s degrees by an increasing number of retail businesses.

Educational Requirements

Typically, individuals seeking enrollment into this program are required to satisfy minimum GPA requirements of 2.0 by many colleges; however students with a GPA of 3.0 are given preference. Continuing Education Choices

A graduate from a BS in Business with retail management concentrations may opt for continued education by enrolling in a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) program. An MBA program may help develop a student’s skills toward a specific retail-oriented field, such as merchandising, logistics, loss prevention, marketing and fashion. Often, non-MBA master’s degree and graduate certificate programs offer these fields of study.
