Students enrolled in a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (B.S.B.A.) degree program in Information Technology are exposed to a broad-based education in conventional business ideas while being provided specialized classes in subject areas with direct relation to information technology.

Information technology includes the storage and analysis of information, in addition to the speedy transmission of information. Students are taught important technical skills in the constantly changing aspects of Web development, information security, and system design.

Admission criteria typically require incoming students to hold a GED certificate or high school diploma.

Coursework

Coursework includes courses in mathematics (usually calculus) and business statistics, in addition to an array of introductory business classes in marketing, economics, accounting, and finance. Technical, survey, and foundation classes are combined in elective business and IT coursework, devised to build skills in analysis, problem-solving, and communication.
