Two of the best graduate degree programs in computer engineering are available through the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and the Georgia Institute of Technology. The schools offer both master’s and doctoral degrees and are both highly rated by Times Higher Education and the U.S. News & World Report for their electrical engineering programs. University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign

In 2009, Times Higher Education rated the University of Illinois 25th best among the 200 best universities around the world. The U.S. News & World Report ranked it 5th on its 2014 list of top U.S. graduate schools for computer engineering. Various programs are available through the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE). These include a joint program leading to a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) and Master of Science (M.S.) in ECE, Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.), and Master of Science (M.S.). Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta
