College of Agriculture and Natural Resources
We are saving the Chesapeake Bay, building sustainable housing, and fighting world hunger. University of Maryland’s College of Agriculture and Natural Resources original land-grant mission is to enhance the quality of life and serve the state of Maryland and beyond. Students can select from seven academic departments, each with its own array of extension and research activities. Additionally, it is just a Metro ride from Washington, District of Columbia, where you will see policy work in action. Students can intern locally at the National Zoo, Smithsonian Environmental Research Center, or U.S. Department of Agriculture, or study internationally in China to view environmental problems, which follow rapid industrialization or with South Africa’s Vets in the Wild. School of Architecture, Planning, and Preservation

College of Behavioral and Social Sciences
Through this program, students will be able to head out to Brazil and study its indigenous peoples, research homeland security threats, and intern at think tanks, Census Bureau, and United States senator’s office. Faculty and students in the College of Behavioral and Social Sciences (BSOS) discover group and individual behavior as well as economic, legal, social, and political institutions. There are nine departments, including the number one ranked Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice, along with six major research centers that take on complex issues such as the governments, transitions in populations, climate change, terrorism and crime, and worldwide economic crisis. The college draws on the resources of and its connections to Washington, District of Columbia, and the world to offer students unique opportunities to become a global citizen.

Smith School of Business provide students with a plethora of connections and cutting edge research, it is home to outstanding faculty with real-world experience and ranked among the United States’ top twenty undergraduate business school. College of Computer, Mathematical, and Natural Sciences
At the College of Computer, Mathematical, and Natural Sciences, we bring together various fields to make significant exploration; students have the opportunities to tackle cyber-security threats, save sea turtles, pursue a cure for cancer, or explore the origins of the universe. James A. Clark School of Engineering

And work with state-of-the-art software for web design and print, as well as video and audio editing in one of the finest multi-platform journalism facilities anywhere, John S. and James L. Knight Hall. Students will be prepared for a rapid and excitingly evolving field while grounding them in the fundamentals.
