Registered retail sales assistants must be skilled typists and have an understanding of what customer service is. They must be courteous, motivated, professional, and capable of multi-tasking, as they will be doing multiple office related tasks at once, at any given time.

Education, Experience and Skills

Applicants aspiring to become a financial retail sales assistant must have NASD series 7 and 63 licenses, and thorough knowledge about the organization’s products and services. They must be familiar with the standard practices, procedures, and concepts within the area. They must report to their supervisor or manager whenever they need to, and a certain degree of latitude and creativity is required.

Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree in any specialty, and 2-4 years of experience in a certain area is an advantage.

As a registered retails sales assistant, you will be working with the different committees within the organization, primarily the sale team. You will also be working with the company’s production department as well as presenting sales presentation to the company’s heads of departments. Therefore, you must be flexible at all times. The position requires a person with good communications skills: oral and written. You must be willing to work under supervisions and under pressure.
