There are lots of places where you can work as a financial retails sales assistant. You can find these areas mainly in a shopping center or your local high street stores. Most employers will be more interested to work with you if you have the ability to work with other people with a positive attitude. However, you will need a better understanding on Math as you will be handling cash, and checking stocks. To be a good retails sales assistant, it is highly important that you work as part of a team. You also need to be honest, responsible, and reliable.

Financial Retail Sales Assistant Duties and Responsibilities

Places that you can work include fashion stores, department stores, and fashion stores. Your duties and responsibilities include:

Advising and Serving Customer Taking Cash Payment

•Giving Information on products prices displaying goods on shelves in an attractive manner arrange window displays
•Ordering goods
•Taking care customer complaints
•Other stores especially those selling electrical goods will require you to have a deep understanding about the products and services they offer before they hire you.
In order to be a financial retail sales assistant, you need to possess the following skills, interests, and qualities:
•Good communication skills: oral and written
•Able to get along with customers easily
•Able to work under supervision and under pressure

They also need to be honest, reliable, responsible, energetic, confident, tactful, polite, and friendly.

Hours of Work

A full-time financial retail sales assistant will be usually working between 35 up to 40 hours in a week, including evenings and weekends. You will be spending plenty of your time standing, and you may need to lift stock items. Additionally, you will often wear a uniform.

Requirements

Good customer skills are highly essential when applying for the position. It would be helpful if you have experience in the particular field. You will need good numeracy skills as you will be handling money from time to time. Many stores hire temporary financial retails sales assistant to handle their seasoned items especially during Christmas. This can be a good approach to acquiring experience on retail sales, and land a permanent job eventually.

Trainings and Development

Most of your trainings will be given to you during the actual job. Large retail stores have structured in-house training systems that you can follow while working. Your trainings may include gaining qualifications like awards, diploma, and certificate in retail skills. You even have the opportunity to choose a specialization depending on the type of your job. Your options may include sales professional, fashion retail, retail management, and visual merchandising.

Financial Retail Sale Assistant is also referred to as Entry Level Client Service Assistant. With proper trainings and development, you can be promoted as Financial Retails Sales Assistant I, II, and III.
