Harvard University
Founded in 1636, this is a privately owned university that is renowned for being the nation’s oldest school for higher learning. It is a member of the prestigious Ivy League; Harvard University is located in Cambridge, Massachusetts, a city that is located directly across from the Charles River from Boston. Students can seek admission to fourteen institutions for higher learning at Harvard and can enroll in degree programs offered at undergraduate, graduate and doctoral levels. Boston University
Boston University is one of the country’s largest privately owned universities and offers 250 degree programs through its nineteen colleges. It is located in the Fenway-Kenmore and Allston suburbs of Boston and its degree programs are offered at all three levels; undergraduate, graduate and doctoral. Dental and medical degrees are also offered at the Boston University Medical Campus located in Boston’s South End suburb.

Northeastern University
This university comprised of eight colleges including law, professional studies, engineering, criminal justice, computer and information science, business administration, arts and sciences and health sciences. Over two hundred programs are offered at the school, at the bachelor and master degree levels.
Northeastern University has received outstanding reviews for its internship and co-op programs, which has been consistently rated as being the in the country. Under this program, students are allowed to attend school for four to five years, and in the process they gain professional experience relating to their area of concentration for up to eighteen months. This program mainly benefits students who want to transition directly into a career after the end of their degree program, as students typically become employed at the company that they have interned.
