Michigan State University (MSU) and the University of Virginia (UVA) are two of the best schools in the United States where elementary and secondary teacher education programs are available. Michigan State University in East Lansing
The U.S. News & World Report ranked MSU number one on its 2010 list of best schools for elementary and secondary teacher education programs in the United States. An MA program in Teaching and Curriculum is available through MSU’s Department of Teacher Education at the College of Education. Students may complete this 30-credit program via online or on-campus formats. A combination of courses is chosen by students to form their concentration area, including literacy and language, K-12 education administration, or science and mathematics education.
