A.A.S. in Interactive Media Degree Program
Through the enrollment in an interactive media associate’s degree program, students are offered practical training in the development of sophisticated images, sounds and videos through the use of technology including computers. Students can learn how to combine these and other modes of media in creating applications that can be used in computer-based presentations, film production, desktop publishing and web design.
They can achieve proficiency in screen design and script language along with learning how to navigate graphic design software programs such as Flash and Adobe. Students are also given an opportunity, in some programs, to develop their communication, project management and marketing skills. Admission criteria usually require applicants to hold a general educational development (GED) certificate or a high school diploma, along with completion of required courses in photo editing.

Interactive media associate degree program can be completed within two years, if students are enrolled full-time. Typically, coursework is hands-on and involves the development of projects using industry standard computer software. Depending on the programs, some will require students to complete a culminating project to illustrate their abilities.
