Degree Overview: Associate of Computer Programming Information Systems

An Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) is a popular degree option for the information systems and computer programming fields. Computer information systems programmers use computer programming language to instruct and speak to computers used in businesses and other organizations with informational needs.

A.A.S. in Computer Programming for Information Systems

Students enrolled in an Associate of Applied Science in computer programming for information Systems degree program will prepared students to seek entry level jobs in the exciting and dynamic field of computer programming in which computers are told what to do through codes written by the programmer. The program is devised to teach enrolled students valuable database management, networking and configuring skills. After they have successfully complete the degree program, students become adept at programming, servicing and repairing network software including business web pages, customer databases, network security and networks.

Depending on the schools, some will offer a mix of hands-on training in simulated or real information systems programming settings, as well as class instruction.
