Master of Management (M.M.) Programs

Students enrolled in a master’s degree program in management are offered broad coursework that includes subject areas such as human resource management, marketing, employee motivation and workplace safety. Schools typically offer students numerous concentration options in subjects such as marketing management, communication, and international management. Students usually take about three years to complete a Master of Management (M.M.) degree that incorporates an internship.

Education Requirements

Admission criteria typically require incoming students to hold a business-related bachelor’s degree, in addition to meeting grade point average requirements and turning in scores from the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT).

Coursework

Coursework in a master’s degree program in management spans 30-36 semester units that students typically take about three years to complete. Job and Wage Outlook

Over the 2012 – 2022 decade, a job growth of 12% has been predicted for general and operations managers (U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics). In May 2014, these professionals brought in an average annual wage of $117,200. During that year, the highest wages paid to these professionals were in the states of Connecticut, Rhode Island and New Jersey.

Continuing Education Choices

Program graduates may seek various business postgraduate certifications to enhance their skills and knowledge in fields such as effective leadership, project planning, quality management and cost management.
