Management Information Systems Associate Degree Program

Students in management information systems (MIS) programs learn how to transfer and manage voluminous information within the business world. Students can acquire the skills needed to obtain entry-level jobs in the field by pursuing an Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree in Management Information Systems.

Management Information Systems: Associate of Applied Science Degree Program

Students who have graduated from an associate degree program in management information systems will be prepared for technology-based and administrative positions in various industries. Several programs introduce concepts needed to earn a certificate to become a Microsoft Office User Specialist. Students will acquire basic knowledge of current software tools, webpage design, and business administration. The associate degree program usually last for two years, although there are several that takes approximately eighteen months to complete. Standard admission requirements to enroll in a management information systems degree program include the completion of a general educational development (GED) certificate or high school diploma, and satisfactory performance on the college admission examinations.
