Enrolled students can complete the degree program within two years, if they are attending the program full-time; part-time programs will take approximately four years to complete. There are programs where students have the option to take the entire program online. The programs usually have an Internet component devised to help students generate and manage a firm’s revenue; students enrolled in the program will be trained to succeed in virtually any industry. Admission criteria in an associate degree program typically require applicants to hold a general educational development (GED) certificate or a high school diploma.

An advanced degree will give candidates the chance to seek positions such as chief information officer or director of e-commerce.
