Associate of Applied Science (AAS) Degree in Fashion Marketing

A fashion marketing associate degree program will prepare individuals for careers in retail or clothing design. With experience in the field and earning an Associate in Applied Science degree, individuals may obtain management positions in the marketing division of retail stores.

AAS in Fashion Marketing

Students who have earned an Associate in Applied Science degree in fashion marketing will be prepared to work at small boutiques and large fashion retail chains. Students will learn how to understand the business side of the industry, predict trends, and sell fashion. Technical colleges, design schools, and community colleges usually offer Associate in Applied Science degrees in fashion marketing. Depending on the schools, some may offer the degree program online.

Educational Requirements

Admission criteria require applicants to hold a general educational development (GED) certificate or a high school diploma. Depending on the degree programs, some will require individuals to submit creative projects showcasing their current fashion marketing skills.

Information on Continuing Education

Associate degree program graduates who want to further their education may transfer their credits to a four-year bachelor degree program in fashion marketing or a related field. Some two-year programs have transferability and articulate agreements with four-year universities. Also, master degree programs in fashion merchandising and similar disciplines are available to students.
