Associate of Science (A.S.) in Web Development and Design
Coursework includes topic areas such as navigation, web page layout, graphic design, and project management, among others. Web fundamentals such as HTML, hyperlinks, color, and images are used to teach students how to design websites. Students can expect to become adept at developing databases, managing servers, creating animated images and utilizing Web-authoring tools while creating and maintaining websites. Professional certification may also be sought by graduates through the Certified Internet Web Professional (CIW) in various areas including Perl Specialist, Database Design, JavaScript, E-Commerce, and Web Design Professional and Web Design.
