Bachelor of Business Administration degree programs in Sales and Marketing Management are for those interested in management, promotion, and product development. These programs will provide students with groundwork in accounting, finance, and other topics in business.

B.B.A. Programs in Sales and Marketing Management

Most schools offer specialized BBA programs in Marketing; however, some also offer Sales Management and Marketing Management concentrations. These programs emphasize business aspects relating to promoting or selling products. The use of basic business application theories is imparted to students who also gain an understanding of the modes of marketing goods and services to consumers, as well as how to lead teams and strategies.

Admission criteria typically require incoming students to hold a GED certificate or high school diploma; some schools also require the completion of high school courses in English and math.

Coursework in a Sales and Marketing Management bachelor’s degree program is devised to teach students about market research, sales management strategies, buyer behavior, distribution and pricing. An average job growth rate of 8% has been projected for sales managers during the 2012-2022 decade; in May 2012, these professionals earned an average annual salary of $105,260. A much faster-than-average job growth rate of 32% has been projected for market research analysts during the decade from 2012 to 2022; in May 2012, these professionals took home an average annual wage of $60,300.

Continuing Education Choices

Graduates may seek continued education by earning a master’s degree in Marketing Management or Sales, whereby students can learn about the managerial aspects of business, marketing and advertising. The program is devised to hone budgeting, negotiating and decision-making skills of students. Coursework includes examination of methods for managing social networking tools and teams in order to perform effective leadership roles in business. Schools also offer Ph.D. programs in this field for students interested in research and academia occupations. Apart from focusing on an interdisciplinary approach to business, the programs also cover business theories.
