Students will be provided with an understanding of the different steps of marketing, including product delivery, team management, and product design, with a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) program in Marketing Management. Marketing professionals are needed in many companies; those who graduate from a Marketing Management program will have access to a variety of entry-level marketing jobs.

B.S. Programs in Marketing Management

Students enrolled in a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree program in Marketing Management are imparted knowledge and skills related to the development of relationships between businesses and customers, by meeting the customers’ needs. Program coursework usually includes marketing topics, such as product pricing and decision-making, definition and development of products, and identification of customer needs; these are important aspects related to the modes of selling and delivering a given product to a customer. Coursework may also focus on customer support considerations, sales strategy and advertising.

Programs may also focus on the use of information systems, development of management skills, and effective business communications techniques. Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree programs in Marketing Management, which typically takes four years to complete, are also offered online.

Admission criteria typically require incoming students to hold a GED certificate or high school diploma.

A faster-than-average job growth rate of 41% has been predicted for market research analysts over the 2010-2020 decade, while a job growth rate of 14% has been predicted for marketing managers, and promotions and advertising managers (U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS)). In May 2012, market research analysts and marketing specialists earned an average annual wage of $60,300, while marketing managers took home earned an average annual wage of $119,480, and advertising and promotions managers earned $88,590.

Continuing Education Choices

Graduates of the bachelor degree program can pursue continued education by obtaining a master’s degree, either in Finance, Management, Marketing Management or another area of Business Administration. The Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) program will suffice the needs of these students. Career advancement opportunities may also be available to individuals with work experience in a specialized field, such as brand management or advertising.
